"We don't have any potions homework." said Alex. Oh crap! "Please tell me we don't have potions homework!" Alex sat up sraight and looked at Ally. "Is it an essay? I hate essays!" complained Alexander. She sat back down and said, "Ah, Slughorn'll have to deal with it." This is what Alex usually thought. If she didn't have her homework, the teachers would have to deal with it. She didn't care. Teachers bored her to death, she often fell asleep in class, when she wasn't ditching to prank someone. Or cause a lot of trouble then blame the Slyherins.
"I am." said Alex as she laid back down. The moon reminded her a lot of Remus. The boys didn't know that she knew about Remus. Lily, Lucy, and Ally didn't know that Remus was a werewolf either. Alex loved Remus like a brother, just like Sirius. She would never treat Remus any differently because of what he was. Everyone had a problem, no matter how big or small. Remus' just happened to rule some of his life every full moon.

Ally couldn't help but guffaw at Alex's reaction. She had figured Alex hadn't done it, instead her friend had probably pulled a prank on some first year. Even though Alex was irresponsible she expected her to at least know about the potions paper they had due in two days. Ally sighed, her shoulders still heaving with laughter. Alex had such a look of sheer panic on her face Ally couldn't help but clutch her stomach, after laughing that hard she could nearly feel a six pack coming on. She took a deep breath before turning to Alex who had a mixture of the old I-don't-give-a-damn look and holy-crap-i-missed-missed-something look. Ally laughed again, she laughed so hard her shoulders shook violently and no sound came out. If she'd had a camera she would've captured Alex's priceless reaction forever.
It took a moment, but eventually, Ally recovered her composure. Her cheeks were flushed from laughing so hard and a smile still played across her face. She wiped a tear from her eye (yes, she'd been laughing very hard). "I can't believe you forgot the potions paper." she laughed gaily "I expect you and Sirius will be trying to mooch answers off Remus tomorrow." Gosh Remus was smart. Remus was smart, James was determined, Peter was quiet and Sirius was... well, Ally wasn't all together sure of what she thought of Sirius. Really thinking about Sirius made her realize he'd be a good person to be around since she'd seldom seen him in a bad mood. He'd make a terrible boyfriend though. Alex could tease away all she liked, Ally didn't like Sirius like that.
Thinking of the boys' differences made her realize what an unlikely foursome they were. They each had very different personnalities. James and Sirius she would've seen together right off the bat, but Remus and Peter wouldn't normally have all stuck together. Most certainly not with Sirius and James. Though, to be fair the girl's weren't a likely group either. Lily and Ally were both smart so they might naturally have related, but Alex and was fun loving and trouble causing while Lucy was somewhat crazy and honestly, borderline insane. They were all so different. How they'd become friends Ally couldn't fathom. It didn't matter. She was lucky they had. Outfit

"Nah I don't think Sirius knows..........." Alex stopped and turned to look at Ally. "You just called him Sirius. Not Black." The world was seriously ending. She knew everyone would die if Lily kissed James. Which would never happen so Alex was happy. There were many impossibilities for Alex and her friends. These were the things Alex teased them about. Lily and James' were obvious. Ally of course she teased would fall in love with Sirius. Sirius would lose all his good looks by nineteen. Remus was to nice to tease and Lucy and Pete she didn't really have anything on.
"You know laughing is my job." said Alex. Folding her arms and pouting like a child. Alex was always told she acted like a child. When she was in sixth year McGonagall told her she acted like a two year old. Which Alex was okay with. In first year she was told she acted like she was seven. Second year a five year old. Third year a three year old. Fourth and fifth Mr. Hammins told her she acted like his nephew whom he brought to class that day. A very intertaining day by the way.

Honestly, it was unfair that any person could be as relaxed as Alex was. Every other seventh year at Hogwarts seemed to be preoccupied with the worry of upcoming N.E.W.Ts. Not Alex. Alice knew that the outcome of these exams would eventually put a stop or give the green light to their futurs. Becoming an auror had been all Ally'd dreamed of since they were asked what they wanted to be in the fifth year just before the O.W.L examinations. Auror work was a competitive feild. They accepted only the brave of heart and the strong of mind, your needed good marks in your N.E.W.T examinations to pass into that feild. Alex and Sirius seemed to have no concern for their futur. Sometimes this worried Ally who was very concious of the fact that the end of term would arrive sooner than any of them had previously even thought possible. Call her worrisome, she considered it to be realistic rather than somewhat nagging. Alex's nonchalaunt attitude towards school work made Ally wonder how the N.E.W.T examinations would go for her spunky friend. They worried her a bit, not only for herself, but for all involved.
There was a pause though and then a flash across Alex's face. At first Ally thought she might have come to her senses and realized that school really is important. No, of course not. Alex had picked out the fact that Ally had for once called Sirius by his first name in a more amicable term than she generally did. "Oh watch out, the apocalypse must be coming" she muttered, rolling her eyes. Alex seemed quite amazed by it. Actually, amazed isn't the right word. Alex seemed flabergasted that Ally had even reffered to Sirius in any way which didn't convey hatred and annoyance.
There are some people who manage to act like they're two years old. Sitting their with a pout on her face, it was astonishing how much Alex looked like an over grown toddler. Ally shook her head, still laughing a bit. "I'm sorry," her voice was coated thickly with sarcasme. She sighed and laughed again. Alex looked too funny. Outfit
