( LIKES ) : Gryffindor! friends, girls, the Potters, steak, Quidditch, sunny days, girls, swimming, DADA, motorbikes, learning about muggles, girls[/blockquote]
( DISLIKES ) : Slytherins, tickle-me pink (are they serious?), lemons (not the taste or the color… just on principle), Slytherins, most Blacks, pureblood mania, emus
( STRENGTHS ) : Sirius is extremely charismatic and intelligent. He is especially gifted at Transfiguration although his favorite subject is DADA. As a person, he is very loyal, but it is isn’t easy to see that side of him.
( WEAKNESSES ) : Sirius? Weak? Ok, so, maybe he’s not very good with Herbology or CoMC (and by that, I mean total rubbish, and his ego might be a bit inflated, and sometimes he finds it hard to sit still for very long without ruining something for his own amusement, but who doesn’t?
( RIDDIKULUS! ) : A darker version of himself, alone and emotionless
( EXPECTO PATRONUM! ) : His first Christmas at James’
( DEMENTOR'S KISS ) : The night he ran away
( MIRROR OF ERISED ) : to have a real family like the Potters
( PET PEEVES ) : things that irritate your character. three or more.
( KEYWORDS ) :
Aprehensive - Born into almost an entire family of people who opposed him in virtually every way (the white to their black, if you will; the yin to a great deal of yang), Sirius found that people weren’t nearly as understanding as they had seemed when he was a child. At the ripe old age of eleven, he learned what it was like to be a stranger in his own house, and this is something he’s carried with him for the past six years of his life. As a result of this disillusionment, his trust is not something that can be bought or given away freely, and if you haven’t yet earned it and it seems like he’s giving it anyway, always assume there is an ulterior motive.
Insensitive - No, he doesn’t necessarily believe that people have been set on the earth solely for his amusement or that they can be disposed of like toys, but he isn’t the sort to just hand out respect, and while they’re there, why not have a little bit of fun. Sure, some people may think that he’s rude (cruel, even) or insensitive, but he never really did care what other people thought, and if they could constantly be swayed back to his side by that golden tongue of his, it was really their fault for being so naïve.
Flirtatious - And when it comes to relationships? Ah, young Mr. Black loves women. All of them. Well… most of them. Sirius knows exactly how to treat a lady, and will always hold doors and pull out chairs. The boy uses an little bit more of the endless supply of charm he was gifted with whenever a woman is involved, and will always go the extra mile. His problem? Well, he might just love women a little too much. All of them. Well… most of them. While he knows how to treat her while she is in front of him, Sirius would never make any promise of exclusivity. He’s simply too young to waste his time stepping on eggshells to appease one stubborn girl (Ahem, James) even if she is a bombshell. As a result of this unbearable love, where Sirius goes, a trail of anger, jealousy, and sometimes even hatred tends to follow.
Narcicistic - Vain, egoistic, self-centered, childish… these are just some of the words that describe this particular Gryffindor. You can ask anyone - slytherins, girls he’s dated, boys whose girlfriends he’s dated, possibly even his best friends. To be frank, Sirius Black is every bit as narcissistic as he seems. In fact, he might say that it is a comment on his astonishing character that he doesn’t attempt to hide it at all. Of course, he is probably the last person you would want to ask about his character, but the majority of people who know (and possibly hate) him don’t quite have it either.
Loyal - Very few people (in fact, he can count them on his hands) have seen the real Sirius Black since he was sorted into Gryffindor and the animosity with his parents became unmistakable. Brave, honest, and loyal to a fault, Sirius would gladly die (or kill) for the people he cares about, particularly since they are such rare specimens. He would never knowingly hurt them, and if he did, he would be extremely distraught and make it his ambition to make it up to them one way or another.
Still, even they rarely get to see any strong emotions from him. The man is very guarded, which might explain both his tasteless behavior and his inability to form lasting connections with other people.
Or maybe he really is just a jerk. Who knows?

( HAIR ) : Sirius’ ebony tresses wave over his ears, often getting far too shaggy for the taste of most of the adults he comes across (namely Mrs. Potter), but they suit him just fine. Like every other part of his body, Sirius loves his hair, and this might be part of the reason he goes so long between cuts. Why mess with perfection.
( EYES ) : Gray optics pierce through thick, black lashes to reveal the singular part of Sirius that belies his immaturity. There is a depth to his eyes that is almost always overlooked by the people he encounters.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : details for nose, cheeks, chin, etc.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Sirius is slum, but slightly muscular. His lack of sports like Quidditch leaves him with a build that is slightly less athletic than James’, but he enjoys muggle sports over the summers if he can find someone to play with and will often be seen running.
( ATTIRE ) : To go along with his refined good looks, Sirius likes to dress nicely. His parents’ bankroll helped immensely, so now that he is on his own, he spends a great deal less on clothes and more on finding some way to repay James’ parents for their generosity. The boy tends to prefer slacks to jeans and dress shirts to t-shirts, but he isn’t above dressing down either (so long as whatever he’s wearing complements him.
He has excellent posture, possibly the result of his generous ego, and is always seen with his head held high, even in casual situations. He’s a proud boy regardless of his many failed relationships, and it shows in his mannerisms.
( SUMMARY ) : Sirius has a great head of black hair and remains well-groomed. He keeps it a bit long, letting it fall into his eyes at times. He is quite handsome… and very aware of it. At times he can seem a bit full of himself but he’s a great person underneath it all… that is, once you get past the inflated ego and aptitude for bullying anyone he dislikes… or who happens to be around when he’s bored enough. His gray eyes are very deep and thoughtful, although his attitude contrasts deeply with that fact.
He has a fairly athletic build and maintains his looks very well but he doesn't care as much as people seem to think. He just lets himself look however he pleases because he never really cared what anyone else thought of him and he didn't plan on starting soon. He never used to wear too many muggle clothes but he’s slowly grown fond of muggle things (a fact that has a lot to do with the fact that his family detests all things non-magical). He holds himself in a slightly pompous fashion, never forgetting to show how great he is through his body language.
( PLAY-BY ) : Ole Sorensen

( PARENTS ) : Sirius has the most difficult relationship with his mother, Walburga Black. At 43, the woman has managed to ostracize her son completely from the entire family. His father Orion (49) and he never really had a relationship (at least not since Sirius started school), and he’s the only one of the two with a job. Sirius honestly couldn’t say what it is, but it seems to bring in a great deal of money.[/blockquote]
( SIBLINGS ) : Regulus, Sirius’ perfect younger brother by one year, is a Slytherin like the rest of the Black family. Needless to say, things between the two are not easy.
( OTHERS ) : The rest of his family (only a few of which include Bellatrix(26), Andromeda(24), and Narcissa (22) Black) are as close to him as anyone else. There are select few, like his old uncle Alfard, who stand out, but only a few.
( HISTORY ) : Sirius was born to Walburga and Orion Black, both of whom he grew to hate in time (along with the majority of his other family members). Sure, when he was very little, he was doted on. Both of his parents originally thought that they had the perfect little boy, with his aristocratic Black looks and his old, inquisitive eyes. That, however, was extremely short-lived. As he grew, the differences between himself and his parents became more and more apparent and their affections turned to the younger of the two Black boys. Of course, Sirius didn’t mind this at first; having Regulus as a playmate had been enjoyable and he had someone he could teach things to, but even this bond faded with time.
At eleven, the boy, wide-eyed and fascinated, entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and his parents prayed that this would stir the change they had been waiting for all along. Surely Sirius, like every other Black, would be placed into Slytherin, and his Slytherin friends would show him the error of his ways. Unfortunately, instead of Slytherin friends, Sirius made three rather unusual ones. A pureblood named James Potter whose parents had never believed in the ‘purification’ of the wizarding race, a halfblood named Remus Lupin, and a short, awkward boy who went by the name of Peter Pettigrew.
Perhaps his family life would have been easier if Sirius had never attached to these three boys, but the Gryffindor would not have changed that day for all the chocolate frogs in the world. In James, he found someone who could understand him on a level he had never known he was missing. The boy became more like a brother to him than his own had ever been, and the two complemented one another quite nicely, if you asked Sirius. In Remus, he had someone who could help him dial back a little (even if it was not nearly enough) not to mention a great deal of excitement every time the full moon rolled around. In Peter, Sirius found someone who could affirm that he was every bit as wonderful as he thought he was (not that that was a good thing), but more importantly someone who made him realize his shortcomings (strangely enough by stroking his ego).
Armed with this new family, the white sheep of the Black family, regardless of whether or not it was impossible for him to let too many other people in, found himself having fun (sometimes it was even the sort you could have without hurting someone else) and enjoying life the way it was meant to be. Summers were still difficult, of course, and each one more than the last, but most of the year was spent at Hogwarts, and so his life split in two: the near-dream that was his school-life, and the nightmare that became his home life.
Quite popular despite his obvious personality flaws, Sirius made a great deal of friends at Hogwarts (though there weren’t too many he actually felt close to). His intelligence and charm gained him a bit more leeway with the teachers than he honestly deserved, but his antics with the other self-proclaimed ‘marauders’ put a strain on that particular relationship. Due to his good looks, Sirius never had difficulties with finding a date, but this also caused a few problems (none big enough to have an effect on him, of course, but problems nonetheless).
Through the years, the marauders certainly kept themselves busy developing new, original pranks that would often take some research (being brilliant helped, of course), but their more notable accomplishments were kept secret including a map of the school that would show them exactly where everyone was in the castle. This involved a ridiculous amount of planning, exploring, and, of course, difficult magic, but Sirius would put no limits on their capabilities.
At sixteen, Sirius was blasted from the Black family tree by his own mother after an argument that ended with Sirius running away to James’ house, where he was welcomed with open arms by the first example of a real family he had ever seen.
Now, entering his seventh year, things are looking up. Sure, there are whispers of war, but how brilliant would it be to be a part of that? All he had to do was finish his last year at Hogwarts, and Sirius would be opened to a world of promise and opportunities. He wasn’t in a rush, though… the ladies at Hogwarts were looking rather fit that year, after all.

( ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE ) :Well, if it was a diversion she was in search of, Sirius happened to know the perfect guy for the job. Waving a quick goodbye to the fifth year he was listening to Emmeline just to ignore, the Gryffindor made his way over to his fellow seventh year, someone he deemed worthy of his attention (so long as she didn’t decide to go on about the properties of knotgrass. Sirius could understand that he was an intimidating person to talk to, but there had to be something better in the kid’s noodle than potions talk).
Of course, he didn’t usually need a reason to simply abandon a conversation other than pure boredom, but he’d told himself he’d give the lad the benefit of the doubt; what a mistake that had been. Sirius would just have to keep that in mind for the next time he decided to be nice to someone he didn’t know… or the next time someone told him to be nice. Yes, that would certainly come in handy.
Personally, Sirius thought he was a very kind person. Sure, there was the occasional prank that was less than friendly and he had been known to start a fight or two, but who really paid any attention to that stuff? (Ok, so maybe he just liked saying he was nice to get a rise out of people who didn't like him...)
“Alright, Emma?” asked the boy, greeting her with his usual grin. Frustration over homework wasn’t exactly something he could understand because, well, he was bloody brilliant (and because Remus almost always had the assignment finished before Sirius would even think to start it, which gave him a better reference than any ruddy book), but distractions he knew quite a bit about, and that he could certainly help her with.
