Pessimistic - Tending to be a bit of a pessimist, the Ravenclaw finds flaw in a great deal. This isn’t to say that he can’t see the good in things, it’ll just take him a bit longer than it would some of his peers.
Introverted – There are both positive and negative sides to introversion. While it helped him to get through a generally lonely childhood, Freddie’s introversion also makes it easier for him to keep others at a distance, which he tends to do quite often.
Calm – Even when every part of him is screaming for him to lose it, Freddie tends to be rather talented at keeping everything together. On an average day, however, his calm is still apparent. The boy tends to choose relaxing hobbies over ones that require a great deal of energy, although he is partial to flying and skateboarding.
Intelligent – A natural Ravenclaw, Freddie has a very inquisitive mind. He enjoys furthering his knowledge on a great deal of subjects. Still, like all people, there are some things even he isn’t interested in studying.
Caring – Freddie will do anything for the people he cares about. There may only be a few of them, but that doesn’t make his devotion any less true. He believes in helping others because, well, what possible reason could there be for doing anything else?

( HAIR ) : Freddie has short, dark brown hair that will often be worn in some combination of orderly and haphazard.
( EYES ) : Deep brown orbs peer from sharp, hooded eyes. Lined by a thick brow, Frederico’s eyes will usually make him appear more critical than he actually is, often coming off as cold. At times, however, they will show profound emotion.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Frederico has soft yet angular features which slope inward. Slim cheeks stretch from high, outward-jutted cheekbones and his nose slopes down and slightly out at the tip.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Freddie is of a slim build coming up to a generally average height. He is only slightly muscular, but doesn’t really care to work on that at all.
( ATTIRE ) : When out of his uniform, which he tends to wear more unkempt than he should, Fred will wear only muggle clothing, usually just jeans and a loose t-shirt.
( SUMMARY ) : Freddie’s style is extremely relaxed. There is very little incentive to be all structured and put together at Hogwarts, so he is happy to break from tradition while in school. At home, of course, the story is different, but at school, jeans and a t-shirt will suffice for the weekend. His relaxed style contrasts greatly from his sharp, angular features which are only pronounced by a slim build and tanned skin. His dark hair is normally a mixture of structure and chaos, reflecting his own life quite well. He does little to style it, but keeping it short helps a great deal where that is concerned.

( OTHERS ) : Freddie has an extremely large family, most of whom still reside in Spain and are muggles.
( HISTORY ) : Orlando Ruiz and Octavia de Anda married at a young age. Each came from exceptionally traditional Spanish families, but neither knew that their family together would come to be very different from what they knew. Their first child, Antonio, came shortly after their marriage when the couple still resided in Spain. Only a year later, Ales and Pilar, the twins, were born. Orlando moved his family to England for work nearly a year later, and that was when things started to change. Due to a lack of family nearby (although visits to Spain were frequent), the three children were raised as British as their classmates. They learned English quickly with the help of their father and were already settled by the time Freddie was born.

Freddie grew up in a strange combination of an English and traditional Spanish lifestyle. Octavia, who stubbornly held her home in her grasps and attempted to surround herself by the familiar, barely spoke any English, so Spanish was the most common language spoken around the home. While his siblings had no problem, Freddie found that he had a hard time relating to the other children at his schools. No matter how much he was assured that he was wrong, the boy just felt different. For this, his childhood was slightly strained, and he had little connections with his older siblings. The story was much different with Isabel, four years his junior, but this relationship was not enough to stop the alienation his personal feelings caused at school.

It wasn’t until he was eleven that things began making sense. He really was different from the other kids, but it was more than that. Freddie always had an analytical mind, and his inability to explain the things that he found himself doing, accidentally or not, scared him in a way that he didn’t understand. At first, his parents refused to allow him to go to such a school. Being devoutly Catholic, the idea of allowing their son to go somewhere and practice was like condemning him themselves. It took a great deal of insistence on his part, and Freddie would never really be sure that their opinion of him didn’t change after that day, but it didn’t matter. At Hogwarts, he would be able to find the answers he’d been wanting.

Freddie was sorted into Ravenclaw, which was a brilliant match. With his inquisitive mind, he should have done fairly well in class, but the first year was a difficult one for him as he was still trying to figure things out, and his doubt made him question himself too much. Over time, however, he proved quite talented in certain disciplines. Most of all, his patience helped him to excel in Potions and Herbology.

By his seventh year, Freddie may not have had the best relationship with his parents or older siblings, but he got on swimmingly with his youngest sister who, regardless of her youth, came to be his best friend. Sure, she was a muggle and they didn’t get to see much of one another, but they wrote quite frequently. Additionally, he had a few very close friends and didn’t have too many problems with the rest of the student body. While he was as aware as anyone else of the dark storm brewing over the Wizarding world, the boy’s life was still generally carefree.
